30-Day Intensive Study Plan

An intensive plan designed to cover all sections of the IELTS exam in one month. Consistency is key!

Week 1

Focus: Listening & Reading Foundations

  • Daily: Complete one full Listening practice test.
  • Daily: Complete one full Reading practice test (Academic or General).
  • Analyze mistakes in both tests: identify why you chose the wrong answer.
  • Learn 10 new vocabulary words daily from the Academic Word List.
  • Watch a 20-minute English-language news broadcast or documentary each day.
  • Weekend: Review all vocabulary and take a full, timed mock test (L, R, W, S).

Week 2

Focus: Writing Skills (Task 1 & 2)

  • Mon/Wed/Fri: Write one Task 2 essay. Use the AI Writing Checker for feedback.
  • Tue/Thu: Write one Task 1 report (Academic) or letter (General). Use the AI Writing Checker.
  • Study sample Band 8/9 essays to understand structure and vocabulary.
  • Review grammar for complex sentences: conditionals, relative clauses, passive voice.
  • Continue with daily vocabulary building (10 new words).
  • Weekend: Write a full Task 1 and Task 2 under timed conditions. Review the week's grammar.

Week 3

Focus: Speaking Fluency & Confidence

  • Daily: Practice speaking for 15 minutes on a random topic from the Speaking section.
  • Use the Speaking Timer to practice a Part 2 response daily.
  • Record yourself speaking and listen back to identify errors in pronunciation and fluency.
  • Use the AI Speaking Practice tool 3 times this week for different questions.
  • Learn and practice using idioms and linking words in your speech.
  • Weekend: Have a 15-minute conversation in English with a friend or tutor. Review recordings.

Week 4

Focus: Full Mock Tests & Weakness Consolidation

  • Take a full, timed IELTS mock test every other day (3 tests this week).
  • On alternate days, focus entirely on your weakest section based on mock test results.
  • Review all vocabulary and grammar notes from the past three weeks.
  • Read the latest articles on the IELTS7PLUS Blog for last-minute tips.
  • Relax the day before the exam. Do not study. A fresh mind is crucial.
